Quad City Falls Flat In Fayetteville Finale

A wild weekend in Fayetteville ended with a flat finish as the Storm lost 5-1 to the Marksmen.

Quad City fell down 1-0 after one period and allowed three second period goals to create a four goal crater they could not climb out of.

Michael Casale scored his second goal in as many nights against his former team to get the Storm on the board at 16:42 of the third period.  For Casale the goal is his seventh in 22 games with Quad City this season.

Fayetteville’s Darren McCormick finished his second goal of the night 47 seconds after the Casale goal to lock in the final score at 5-1.  Shots were 40-38 in favor of the Marksmen.

With the loss the Storm have been eliminated form post season contention.
