Milosek, Havoc Continue To Haunt Storm
Quad City lost 5-1 Saturday night in Huntsville versus the Havoc.
Despite a back and forth, evenly matched first period the Storm found themselves down 2-0 off an odd deflection 1:39 into the game and a power-play goal at 16:08 of the period. Mitch Mueller was also lost midway through the first after sustaining a lower body injury while blocking a shot.
Coming out of the locker room the Havoc jumped on the Storm and Alec Brandrup made it a three-goal game 29-seconds in. The goal deflated the Storm who were playing with a short bench and frustrated at a combination of the result the night before and the 3-0 start to the game. Kyle Sharkey scored to make it 4-0 and put the game all but out of reach heading to the second intermission.
Austin Hervey got the Storm on the scoreboard with a powerplay goal in the third period that was quickly answered by Sy Nutkevich to set the final score at 5-1.
Havoc goaltender Max Milosek was the first star of the game and proved hard to beat all night making thirty-two saves on thirty-three shots.
