Storm Win Second Straight Game

The Storm won their second straight game Friday night in Evansville 3-1 to move to 8-13-2 in their inaugural season.

After a scoreless first period Mitch Mueller started the party with a snipe from the top of the slot, popping the water bottle of the net and making it 1-0.

That score would hold until 7:23 of the third period when Tommy Tsicos tapped home a loose puck in the crease to make it 2-0.  Dalton Mills and Cody Walsh picked up the assists.

Evansville’s Tyler Howe made it a 2-1 game four minutes later but Pete Di Salvo shut the door after that and finished with twenty-nine saves on thirty shots to pick up his sixth win on the season.

The two new guys, Shane Bennett and Vincent Beuadry, iced the cake with an ENG with twenty seconds left; Bennett scoring with the assist from Beaudry.

Quad City busses home tonight and will be at the TaxSlayer Center tomorrow night at 7:00 to face off against the Huntsville Havoc.  Get your tickets at QuadCItyStorm.com!
