Storm Announces Medical Team Partnerships
The Quad City Storm is proud to announce today that they will partner with both Orthopaedic Specialists and UnityPoint Health-Trinity for the inaugural 2018-2019 season.
Orthopaedic Specialists will the title sponsor of the 2018-2019 season and will serve as the exclusive orthopedic services provider. Executive Director Brad Crowder said, “Orthopaedic Specialists is proud to be partnering with the Quad City Storm as they embark on their inaugural season. When first approached about this partnership, we were very, very excited.” Mr. Crowder added, “With experience in supporting many of the sports teams in the area, we felt this was a great way of continuing to deliver exceptional care to the athletes calling the QC home.”
UnityPoint Health – Trinity will have official and exclusive status as the hospital of choice for the Quad City Storm for the 2018-2019 season. Pat Shouse, President of the Trinity Health Foundation, said, “UnityPoint Health – Trinity, our Clinics and Physicians are proud to be the Medical Sponsor of the inaugural season for the Storm. Our mission is to improve the health and wellbeing of our community and we are happy to partner with this locally owned team.” She added, “We are thankful to our staff and Dr. Paul Wang for helping us making this possible.”
President Gwen Tombergs said, “These healthcare leaders have stepped up to keep an amenity that is important to the quality of life in our community.” “The Quad City Storm is proud to partner with Orthopaedic Specialists and UnityPoint Health - Trinity to provide the exception heathlcare that our professional athletes need,” she added.
“What we are seeing is a community come together to make some magic,” said Director Fan Eperience Tristan Tapscott. “It’s a testament to how in tune our local leaders are to what is important to the people of the Quad Cities,” he added.
The Quad City Storm are expected to open their training camp in early October prior to October 13’s preseason game against the Peoria Rivermen at Peoria's very own Carver Arena. The Storm's regular-season schedule is set to begin October 20 against the Peoria Rivermen at the TaxSlayer Center in Moline.
