Storm Prepare To Face The Reigning President's Cup Champs

Matchup:                           Huntsville Havoc (6,6,1) vs. Quad City Storm (5,7,1)

Location/Date/Time:      TaxSlayer Center/Saturday, 12-8-18/7:00

The Storm are coming off their first loss in five games.  The Evansville Thunderbolts defeated Quad City to snap the Storm’s longest win streak in franchise history.  The winning run was highlighted by a pair of shutouts by Eric Levine who is now third in the SPHL in save percentage.

Huntsville will look to win their third straight game this weekend when they travel to Moline and attempt to weather the Storm.  The win streak for the Havoc comes after a six-game losing skid.  After their matchup with Quad City the Havoc will ride the bus to Peoria and faceoff against the Rivermen.

New Look Storm

Defenseman Ondrej Misovic rejoins the Storm roster to bolster a depleted blue line.  Misovic was a part of the Storm’s training camp roster and has posted a positive on-ice rating in eleven games with the Danville Dashers this season.  This season the Storm have lost four defensemen to injury, advancement and the waiver wire.

Especially Special

Boosted by four power-play goals in the 4-0 road win versus Evansville the Quad City power-play has rocketed to 1st in the SPHL.  This weekend it will face a Huntsville penalty-kill that is ranked last in the league.  If the home team can harness the efficiency and tempo their PP group had in Evansville they may be able to maintain their league leading percentage.

The Other New Guy

Ondrej Misovic isn’t the only member of the Storm making his debut this weekend.  Radar, the new Storm mascot, will be introduced before Saturday’s game and will be roaming around the TaxSlayer Center to meet and take pictures with all Storm fans!
