Levine Shines, Bronner Buries, Storm Win 1-0

Make it three in a row for the Quad City Storm.

Saturday night at the TaxSlayer Center a lively crowd watched a goaltending duel end in favor of the home team.  Eric Levine picked up his first win of the season in shutout fashion stopping all 23-shots that came his way.

The game stayed scoreless until the clock read 2:16 in period three.  Cody Walsh made a great stab at a bouncing puck to hold the blue line, fired a shot on Thunderbolts’ netminder Edwin Minney and a long rebound squirted out to the waiting stick of Phil Bronner who skated towards the open side of the net and buried the GWG.

Minney made 34-saves in the loss.

Evansville and Quad City will see plenty more of each other next weekend when the Storm travel to Thunderbolt country for a Friday-Saturday double-header.
