Quick Recap: Bulls Slide Passed Storm Again

The Quad City Storm dropped their fifth straight game Thursday night on the road in Birmingham and third in a row versus the undefeated Birmingham Bulls 4-2.

Sean Kacerosky, one of the newcomers to the Storm roster, scored first to give the visitors an early lead that the team carried into the first intermission.

Birmingham came out with more energy in period two and snatched momentum and the lead with two goals in 36-seconds.

An inspired shift from Mitch Mueller, Vladimir Nikiforov and Taylor McCloy led to the equalizer at 12:46 of the second from McCloy with assists going to Donald Olivieri and Mueller.

Tied going into the third momentum was up for grabs and Birmingham seized it by finishing their second power-play goal of the night on a one-time slapshot from Garrett Schmitz.  Birmingham set the final score at 4-2 with an empty net goal from Mike Davis with 22-seconds left.

The Storm are back in action tomorrow night against the Pensacola Ice Flyers at 7:35.  Catch all the action live on 107.7 WQUD Vintage Radio starting with the pregame show at 7:10.
