Bulls Scrape By The Storm for the Sweep

Much like the finale of the season-opening series with Peoria, game two of the weekend set with the Birmingham Bulls refused to fall in favor of the Quad City Storm.

Backed by a red-hot goaltending performance from Mavric Parks, who saved 28 of the 29 shots the Storm fired on net, the Bulls were able to score first and last on the way to a 2-1 victory.  Loren Ulett deflected a slapshot from the point past Peter Di Salvo for goal number one and Mike Davis gave Birmingham the lead for a second time at 8:36 of the third period with a quick wrist shot.

Peter Di Salvo played very well in net for QC and the single tally of the evening for the home team came from Phil Bronner for his first goal of the season; Cody Walsh and Dalton Mills assisted on the score.

The Storm will see the Bulls for the third time this season Thursday in Birmingham for game one of a three-game road trip that includes a two-game set in Pensacola on Friday and Saturday.
